Theresa N. Klota
March 26, 1932 - July 5, 2010
SOUTH BEND - Theresa N. Klota, 78, of South Bend, passed away on Monday, July 5th, in Your Home on Kenilworth Road. She was born on March 26, 1932, in South Bend, to the late Sylvester and Felice (Wagnerowski) Nowaczewski. On May 21, 1955, as Theresa Nowaczewski, she married Jerome R. Klota, who preceded her in death on December 4, 1988. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Nowak, and a brother, Joseph Nowaczewski. Theresa is survived by her children, Deborah (David) Wieczorek of Granger, Christine (Dale Chlebek) Klota of Lakeville, Valerie (Jim) Crabtree of Manchester, Tennessee, C.J. (Ty) Kilgore of Niles, Rachel Klota (husband, Jerry Holaway) of Port Orchard, Washington, and Robert R. Klota of South Bend; seven grandchildren, Delissa Rangel, Michael Wieczorek, Jose (Jenna Smeltzer) Rangel, Matthew Wieczorek, Nicholas Zilkowski, Alex Klota and Hannah Brooks; one great-grandchild, Eva Mora-Rangel; and three sisters, Clara Pedersen of Mishawaka, Mary (Alvin) Moser of Osceola and Martha (Jerry) Vitek of Buchanan, Michigan. Mrs. Klota retired from Bendix in 1989. She was a parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 8th, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 9th, in St. Adalbert Church, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
