SOUTH BEND - Mary C. Huszar, 92, died of natural causes at the Sanctuary at St. Paul's where she had lived since 2011.She was born in South Bend to Joseph and Mary Chapo, who preceded her in death.She graduated from Riley High School, where she played in the marching band. She worked in the Aviation Division at Studebaker's. In September 1945 she met Emery J. Huszar at the Calvert Rod & Gun Club at Our Lady of Hungary Church. They married March 2, 1946. They lived in South Bend until 1981, when they retired in Ocala, Florida. Emery preceded her in death on March 14,1998.She is survived by 3 children, Mary Kay Huszar, Oxnard, CA, where she lived for 4 years, Michael (Mary E.), South Bend, Anthony S. (Laura), Pleasant Hill, CA; two grandsons, Jason C. Huszar (Christie), Boise, ID, and Jack Huszar or Pleasant Hill, CA; 4 great-grandchildren, Emery, Owen, Jake and Ellie of Boise, ID. Mary possessed a vivacious spirit, loved to dance and listen to Tony play his drums! Cremation has taken place and burial will be in Bushnell Florida Veterans Cemetery with Emery. There will be no services. Published in South Bend Tribune on Mar. 16, 2016
