Charles "Charlie" Kedik, Jr., 76, of Pine Street, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24, in Countryside Place. He was born in Mishawaka on Aug. 12, 1923, and had lived in this area all of his life.Charlie did volunteer work at the Battell Senior Citizens Center. He retired in 1982 from Wheelabrator after 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church. Mr. Kedik is survived by four sisters, Annie (August) Ewald of Mishawaka, Margaret (Ron) Armstrong of Mishawaka, Alice (Richard) Washburn of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mary Jane (Robert) Hood of Fort Wayne, Ind.; three brothers, Mike (Dorothy) Kedik of South Bend, Ind., John L. (Lillian) Kedik of Mishawaka and James Paul (Judy) Kedik of South Bend; and by 12 nieces, eight nephews, 44 grandnieces and nephews and 12 great-grandnieces and nephews. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Oct. 26, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, where a Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in St. Monica Catholic Church, with Fr. Derrick Sneyd officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Monica Catholic Church Building Fund.
