SOUTH BEND - Leona F. Sinkiewicz, 98, passed away at 8:40am Saturday, November 1, 2014 in Healthwin Specialized Care. Leona was born on June 19, 1916 in Gibson County, Indiana to Harry Lee and Ophia (Crabtree) Overton. She was employed by 1st Source Bank as a teller. On April 3, 1937 she married Casimer Sinkiewicz. He died on January 9, 1969. Leona was also preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a son-in-law Len Buczkowski. Surviving are a daughter, Charlotte Buczkowski; two sons, James (Judy) Sinkiewicz and Tom (Margie) Sinkiewicz; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Thursday, November 6, 2014 in St. Matthew Cathedral. Friends may call one hour prior to services in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Healthwin Specialized Care. Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
