Bertha Radzikowski Dec. 21, 1923 - April 7, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Bertha V. Radzikowski, 90, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014, in Memorial Hospital. Bertha was born December 21, 1923, to the late Alexander and Helen (Herman) Cholaj. On February 14, 1942, Bertha married John Radzikowski, who preceded her in death, along with a son, James Radzikowski; daughter, Sharon Horvath; granddaughter, Kari Radzikowski; and brothers, John and Frank Cholaj; sisters, Helen, Mary, Josephine, Dorothy, Lucile and Katie. Survivors of Bertha include her daughter, Bonita Radzikowski; sisters, Phyllis (Antonio) Rulli, Betty Wallace, Veronica (Marion) Bohocz; grandchildren, John, Joe, Dawn, Mickey, Debbie, Patrick, Bobby, Renee, and Reanne; great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Bertha retired from Uniroyal after many years of service and was a hairdresser with Blanche & Ray Hair Salon. She was a parishioner of St. Patrick Catholic Church, a member of the Altar & Rosary Society, and Forever Learning. Bertha enjoyed making ceramics and working in the garden. The family would like to thank Hospice for their wonderful care, and the nurses that cared for Bertha on the 11th floor at Memorial Hospital. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date . Inurnment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. is assisting the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice Care or Donor's Choice. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
