SOUTH BEND - Pauline V. Grochowski, 93, went home to her heavenly reward at 12:35 pm Friday, February 20, 2015, with family by her side. Pauline was born June 7, 1921, in South Bend, to Paul and Mary Kass. On June 28, 1947, Pauline married Anthony Gro-chowski, who preceded her in death on December 17, 1981. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mary; sisters, Mary, Elizabeth and Frances; brothers, Paul, Larry, George, Aloyious and Robert; and son-in-law, Stanley Kend-ziorski, III. Pauline is survived by her son, Robert (Sharon) Grochowski; daughter, Mary Kendziorski; grandchildren, Matthew Gro-chowski, Rachell (Jon) Jackson, Sarah Kend-ziorski and Stanley Kendziorski; and great-grandchildren, Jake and Alexia Jackson. Pauline was very proud to have learned to drive at the age of 60, teaching her grandchildren how to ride their bicycles, and enjoyed traveling with her sister, Frances (Sass). Most of all, Pauline was a very loving person, showing her devotion to and caring for her family or anyone she met. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her. The family would like to thank Harbor Light Hospice for their compassion and assistance. Visitation is 4-8 pm, Tuesday, February 24, 2015, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 am Wednesday, February 25, 2015, in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
