MISHAWAKA - Norma Nowak, formerly of Mishawaka, passed away in her sleep on Dec. 15, 2015. She had lived with her son in Las Vegas over a year due to illness including dementia. She was born Norma Vandal in Woodridge, Manitoba. On December 29th, 1956, she married Joseph Nowak. They moved to Mishawaka in 1961 and called it their home from then. Together with Joe they did artisan upholstery in their own shop called Upholstery Craft for over thirty years. Norma loved dancing, bingo, Red Rock Canyon, and her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, several brothers and sisters, husband and her daughter Angela. She leaves her son Glenn and daughter-in-law Dianna (LaCava) with whom she lived, her sister Deloris Dunning of Winnipeg, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Private celebration of her life was held in Las Vegas. She will be greatly missed. Published in South Bend Tribune on Jan. 16, 2016
