SOUTH BEND - George "Hank" Berebitsky, 85, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2008, in South Bend, IN. Born in Kewanna, IN on May 23, 1923, he was the ninth of ten children. Hank graduated from Riley High School in South Bend. He served his country as a 1st Lieutenant in the Army Air Force in World War II. His working career spanned over 40 years as the Manager of South Bend Iron & Metal. Hank is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 61 years, Shirley (Rosenfeld); his children, Mike (Barb) Berebitsky of Toledo, OH, Sue (Mike) Wells of Indianapolis, IN and Jody Berebitsky of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Lauren and Dan Berebitsky, and Jeff (Jona), Brian, and Lesley Wells, and great-grandchildren, Dylan and Helena Wells. Also surviving are two brothers, Abe and Harold (Lena) Berebitsky.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008, at McGann Hay, Forest G. Hay Chapel, 435 S. Ironwood Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to Sinai Synagogue, the Jewish Federation, or to charity of the donor's choice.
