SOUTH BEND - George Priebe, 86, of Irvine, California, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016, after a short stay in the hospital. George was born in Chicago, IL, and grew up in South Bend, IN. He graduated from Concordia Lutheran High, Fort Wayne, IN, and was a graduate of Purdue University School of Pharmacy. George also served his country in Korea in an Army MASH unit from 1951-1953. His career in the medical equipment and supplies business was spent in the Fort Wayne and South Bend, IN, and Richmond, VA areas. He finished his career as Vice President of sales in southern California. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Clara Priebe, as well as his brother, Kenneth. His brothers, Robert and Donald, survive him as well as 9 nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 65 years, Helen; his son, Mark (Anne), and step-grandson, Tanner Harvey; his daughter, Susan Caumiant (Dan Piner); and his granddaughter, Carly Caumiant.
