GOSHEN - Marilyn Lou (Ferverda) Bayak, 75, of Goshen, died 9:28 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born on July 17, 1942 to Harold and Marie (Sunday) Ferverda. She was raised by her grandfather, Roscoe Ferverda and Ruby Burton. On October 6, 1963, she married Roger Francis Bayak and he died on February 20, 2017. Surviving is a fiance, Joe Crivello of Monticello; a son, Andy (Paula) Bayak of Osceola; a daughter, Wendy (Kevin) Hite of New Paris; adopted son, Wojtek of Poland, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Rick (Carol) Wilson of IN, Sandy (Dick) Adams of Mexico, IN, and Joe Ferverda of TX; an uncle, Stanley Williams of Silver Lake; an aunt, Eleanore Bajak of Prudenville, MI; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David (Marsha) Bayak of MI, very dear nieces, nephews, cousins, many dear friends; a dog, Sam; and a cat, Clancy. Preceding her in death are her parents and husband, Roger. Marilyn was a secretary for 42 years, 37 years at Goshen College. She was a member of the New Paris Missionary Church where she was very actively involved and a part of the Women's Ministry Team. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Goshen and of Crazy Horse Memorial, South Dakota. Marilyn was a volunteer at Goshen Hospital. She was an organ donor through the Indiana Donor Network. Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018 at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen and one hour prior to the Memorial Service at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 at New Paris Missionary Church, 67621 SR 15, New Paris. Pastor Dave Hackney and Pastor Matt Schoettle will officiate. Marilyn's wishes were to be cremated. Burial will be at a later date in New Paris Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Goshen Veterans Honor Guard; New Paris Missionary Church; or An Orphan Smiles, P.O. Box 175, Kimberton, PA, 19442.
