EDWARDSBURG - Dorothy Josephine Fales, 91 years old of Edwardsburg, passed to her rest Feb. 28, 2017 at her home, after an illness. She was born Aug. 7, 1925 in South Bend, the daughter of Stanley and Anna Clara (Kazmierzak) Bartol and has lived in the Michiana area all of her life. Dorothy worked for Studebakers, South Bend Lathe, Miles Lab, and she did furniture upholstery in her home for many years. She was an ardent member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Edwardsburg and volunteered her time for many church projects. Dorothy was married, as Dorothy Bartol, on April 15, 1950 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Niles to Dale Thomas Fales, and he passed Jan. 18, 1993. Surviving are two daughters, Margaret Sailor and Barbara (Robert) Munguia. There are two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Family and friends may gather from 2-4 PM, Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home, 26863 West Main Street, Edwardsburg. The Mass of Resurrection will be on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 24832 US-12, East, Edwardsburg. Officiating will be Father Joe McCormick. All may gather at the church for one hour before the service. Interment will follow at Adamsville Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Paul E.
