According to the 1920 and 1930 census records of South Bend, Indiana, Joseph Nowak was the son of Stanley & Julia Nowak, one of six children including his twin sister Mary. His date and place of death and the name of the cemetery in which he was buried are given in his Indiana death certiicate for which the informant was his wife, Joyce (Goss) Nowak. She reported that he had been a manager at Armour & Company. It was her understanding that he had been born July 14, 1913 in Indiana.
