SOUTH BEND - Anthony L. Gruda, 72, passed away at 5:52 pm Wednesday, November 21, 2012 in his residence. Anthony was born in Indiana, PA on August 24, 1940 to the late Anthony L. and Marion (Skubis) Gruda, Sr. On October 19, 2002 in Little Flower Christian Church Anthony married Mellonie (Books); she survives along with children, Michael Gruda of Elkhart and stepchildren, Lauriann Stamm of Mishawaka, Lynda Sutherland of Mishawaka, Ryon (Michelle) Sinkovics of San Antonio, TX, and Damon Sinkovics of Indianapolis; sister, Connie (Ted) Najdek of South Bend; and many nieces and nephews. Tony retired from the Manufacturing Business as a supervisor and he was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Tony loved to fish, enjoyed watching Notre Football and Indiana University Basketball. He was a great uncle to all his nieces and nephews, and an all-around caring person. Visitation for Anthony will be held 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, November 26, 2012 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
