NEW CARLISLE - Rosemary E. Hauser, 92, of New Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Hamilton Communities, New Carlisle, IN. following a brief illness She was born on November 11, 1921, in South Bend, to the late Ladislaus and Charlotte Kolupa. On September 6, 1943 she married Charles J. Hauser, who preceded her in death on November 9, 1982. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Ann Sweeney and Adele Baldwin; and by two brothers, Robert and Louis Kolupa. Rosemary is survived by her daughters, Marcia Hauser of South Bend, Cynthia Hauser of Culver City, CA, Elizabeth Clendenen of Stillwater, MN and Cassandra Lamb of Camino de Rey, CA; a son, Charles Hauser, Jr. of Fish Lake Camp, CA; seven grandchildren, Amy (Christopher) Fewell, Ethan Jones, Joshua, Gabrielle and Eli Clendenen, and Garrett and Austin Lamb; and eight great-grandchildren. Rosemary worked for the Studebaker Corporation as a secretary for many years. In her later years, she enjoyed doing beautiful cross stitch projects and gardening. She was an avid Notre Dame football fan and loved to play the Notre Dame victory march on the organ after N.D. touchdowns. A memorial service will be held in New Carlisle in the Spring.
