SOUTH BEND - Mrs. Martha A. (Leatherman) Rzepka, 88, of Bader Avenue, passed away at 9:46 p.m. Monday, June 4, in Hospice House. Mrs. Rzepka was born in North Liberty, IN, on June 22, 1918, to the late Roy B. and Margarette (Blough) Leatherman. She married Alexander F. Rzepka on June 10, 1944, in South Bend. He died on May 4, 1991. She is survived by her daughter, Janet E. (Thomas) Turnock of South Bend; four grandchildren, Alexis A. (Kenneth Carmichael) Turnock of South Bend, Jill M. (Andrew) White of Chicago, IL, Thomas S. Turnock of South Bend and William B. Turnock of Phoenix, AZ; and a great-grandson Parker Thomas White. Also surviving are a sister, Dorothy Smith of South Bend, and a brother, Roger B. Leatherman of Oklahoma. There will be a PRIVATE Mass of Christian Burial today for the family at Holy Family Catholic Church where Martha was a longtime member. There will be no visitation. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. McGann Hay Funerals Cremations Gatherings, University Chapel, is handling arrangements. Martha was a 1936 graduate of Riley High School. She and her husband were the co-founders of the Mishawaka Furniture Store in 1968 where she continued to work up until last year.
