[N31846] James Robert “Jim” Vesta
November 4, 1941 - March 11, 2022

BRISTOL- James Robert “Jim” Vesta, Sr., 80, passed away peacefully into life everlasting on March 11, 2022. Born November 4, 1941 in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late Lewis and Catherine (Morida) Vesta. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Vesta; his twin, Steven Vesta; and father-in-law, Leonard Phillips, Sr. On February 23, 1985, Jim married the love of his life, Paula Ann (Phillips) Vesta. She survives him. Also left to cherish his memory are his children and family: Debbie (Mike) Williams, Jeff (Connie) Vesta, Anna (Brian) Chomer, Louis (Amy) Vesta, and Nicole (Jacob) Wade; daughter-in-love, Sheri Vesta; his sister-in-law, Sarah Petronzio; his brother-in-law, Lenny (Renee) Phillips and grandchildren, Brock, Shane, Jeffrey, Zack and Dallas Vesta, Wyatt, Grace and Colton Williams, Aila and Everett Chomer, Abram and Asher Vesta and Nicholas, Madison and Sarah Wade; 6 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews who he adored and called his own. He is also survived by two sisters, Betty and Cathleen and sons, Brian (Amy) Vesta, Gary (Laura) Vesta and James (Nancy) Vesta along with their children; and his mother-in-law, Theresa Phillips. Jim was an extremely devoted husband, dad, and papa. He loved his family and friends without reservation. There were no limits or conditions to that love because of the love of Christ in his heart. Jim loved to share the Word and how the Lord changed his life with everyone he met. Jim enjoyed being outdoors with his grandchildren keeping up with numerous projects or tending to his many garden beds. Most days you could find him unwinding to any sports event he could find on TV. Jim was always somewhere working with his hands or keeping otherwise busy and helpful. Jim was well-respected and liked in the RV community. While he did well in working for others, in 1997, he decided to venture into business for himself and launched two successful companies, Utilico and JP Lan before he retired just last year. He adventured abroad meeting new faces and creating lasting relationships with his business colleagues also calling them family. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 23 at Zion Cemetery in Bristol, IN. Details are still TBD. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help cover expenses.
