Elizabeth E. Voorde, (nee Dwyer) 80 years old, passed away at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Belltower Health & Rehabilitation Center in Granger. Elizabeth was born on December 1, 1940 in Detroit, MI to the late Walter and Eva (Lolli) Dwyer. She has been a longtime resident of South Bend. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Kathryn M. (Jerry) Barbian; son, Michael A. Voorde; five grandchildren, Ryan Barbian, Adam Barbian, Nathan Barbian, Aris (Arthur Soto) Voorde and Quinten Voorde; and one great grandchild, Bodhi Barbian. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Edward F. Voorde, III; and two brothers, Walter (Joan) Dwyer and Bruce (Sandra) Dwyer. Per Elizabeth’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Burial will be held at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend is assisting.
