Eugene J. Kulwicki, 84, of Johnson Road, North Liberty, Indiana, passed away at 7:22 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2005, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. He was born on September 17, 1920, in South Bend, to Sylvester J. and Veronica (Brzezniak) Kulwicki, who preceded him in death. On September 18, 1948, in South Bend, he married Lucille D. Kwitek, who passed away in 2002. Surviving Eugene are a daughter, Rosemary Roberts of Dallas, Texas; sons, James Kulwicki and John Kulwicki, both of North Liberty, and Bill Kulwicki of Lafeville; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild; sisters, Adeline Bauters of Mishawaka, Theresa Krzyewski of North Liberty and Betty Johnson of North Liberty; and a brother, Robert Kulwicki of Lafayette, Ind. Eugene retired from the St. Joseph County Prks Department where he was a maintenance supervisor. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. He was a farmer and a vendor of produce and plants for many years at the Farmers Market in South Bend. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 27, 2005, from 2 to 8 p.m. in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2005, in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Terre Coupe. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
