Rhonda L. Cole, 59, of North Liberty, passed away during the early morning hours of April 24th in the University of Indiana Hospital in Indianapolis. Rhonda was born in LaPorte, Indiana on May 26, 1962 to Richard "Dick" and (Roberta "Birdie" Lonzo) Dill. She was a lifelong North Liberty resident. On August 27, 1994, in North Liberty, she married the love of her life, Walter M. Cole, Jr. She enjoyed baking, scrapbooking and sewing, yet her greatest joy came from being with her family. She was a member of the both the American Legion Post 365 and VFW Post 1954 auxiliaries. Rhonda is survived by her loving husband, Walter, and daughters, Jolean (Dusty) Boerma of Cadillac, Michigan, Stacy Langer of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Katie Hart of North Liberty, Sara (Chris) Ferguson of McCurtain, Oklahoma, and Rhonda (Adam) McDaniel of Culver, Indiana and 15 loving grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Birdie Dill of North Liberty, her sister, Rusti J. Chlebowski and brothers, Rami (Lori) Dill, and Robert R. Dill, all of North Liberty. She was preceded in death by her dad, Dick "Pickle" Dill and her brother-in-law, Kevin Chlebowski. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, April 30th, from 2:00 until 4:00pm in the Hanley and Sons Funeral Home, 23421 State Road 23, South Bend. A service celebrating Rhonda's life will be held at 4:00pm in the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to either Pet Refuge, 4626 Burnett Drive, South Bend, IN 46614 or North Liberty American Legion Auxiliary Post 365. Hanley and Sons Funeral Home of South Bend assisted the family with arrangements and extends its deepest heartfelt sympathy to all of Rhonda's family.
