Dorothy A Putz, 84, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 with her family by her side. Dorothy was born June 23, 1937 in South Bend to the late Frank and Anna (Grzywienski) Kurowski. On October 5, 1957, Dorothy married Ralph Putz, he preceded her in death on July 17, 1997. Dorothy was also preceded in death by her brothers, Edward & Raymond Kurowski; brother-in-law, Richard Putz; and sister-in-law, Gertrude Mestach. Left to cherish the memory of Dorothy are her children, Linda (Tom) Wilson, Diane Putz, Michael A (Patricia) Putz; grandsons, Shaun, Mark, Scott Wilson, Ryan, Matthew, Myles Putz; great grandson, Hunter Wilson, and great granddaughter on the way; brother-in-law, Robert Putz; and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy graduated from St. Joseph High School. After graduation she worked at Sobieski's Bank as a teller. Later in her life she became a teacher's aide at Holy Family School where she enjoyed interacting with the children. She was a member of the PNA and Polish Women's Alliance of America. Dorothy was also a parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church. She was proud of her Polish heritage, especially during Christmas time making kieflies and pierogi, and listening to Polish music. Dorothy prayed the rosery every day and had a devotion to the blessed Virgin Mary. Most of all she loved being a Busia and spending time with her grandsons and great grandson. She will be truly missed by those who loved her. Visitation for Dorothy will be 2:00 pm to 7:00pm Monday, December 27, 2021 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 in St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St Joseph Cemetery.
