SOUTH BEND - Annette Strozewski, 96, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013, in Miller's Merry Manor in New Carlisle, with Judy and Jan by her side. Annette was born June 22, 1917, in South Bend, to the late John and Mary Ann (Blacharz) Jagodka. Annette was married to Frank Strozewski on November 26, 1952, and he passed away September 13, 1991; she was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Strozewski, on December 2, 1973. Survivors include friend, Judy (Charles) Hofer, god-daughter, Janice Schymanski. Annette was a housekeeper at The University of Notre Dame where the residents of Grace Hall became her second family. She was a very active parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church, who was fondly referred to as "Sarge." She enjoyed working in her yard, arranging flowers, and playing Canasta. Most of all, Annette adored her cocker spaniels. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 am Monday, December 2, 2013, in St. Adalbert Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior in the Church. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions directed towards the Center for Hospice Care.
