Ellen Pierzchala died July 9, 2021 at the age of 71. Ellen was born on June 15, 1950 in South Bend, Indiana. She graduated from Brandywine High School in Niles, Michigan in June 1968. After several years of various factory and service-related jobs, she entered the U.S. Civil Service in the mid 1970x as a typist at the General Services Administration in Washington, DC. Ellen enrolled at Northern Virginia Community College where she took accounting courses, then became an accountant for GSA. Over the years, through extraordinary hard work she earned several promotions. Ellen retired as a GS-15 accountant. Outside of work, her passion was bowling. She met her partner of many years, Calvin O Williams, at a bowling alley. She once bowled a 299 game; that 300th pin spun, wobbled, and danced across the lane, but just would not fall. Ellen was a caregiver for several years for her parents Matthew and Norma, until in early 2021, she just could not fill that role anymore. Ellen was survived by her partner Calvin Williams for 2 months before he too passed. She is survived by Norma Pierzchala (mother), brothers Mark (Lesley), David (Diane), and Steve (Darla), nieces Anna, Esme, and Vita, and nephew Alex. She and her father Matthew were memorialized and buried in neighboring plots in August 2021.
