SOUTH BEND - Joann Kinzie Krych, 81, of South Bend, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at home. The Mishawaka native was born April 24, 1932, to Russell and Hazel (Huff) Kinzie, who have both preceded Joann in death. She married Eugene C. Krych on December 23, 1971, in Mishawaka. Joann retired from the engineering office at AT&T in 1983. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mishawaka, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2083. She enjoyed Tatting, Knitting and Genealogy. Joann is survived by her husband of 41 years, Eugene C. Krych of South Bend; her brother, Ned (Phyllis) Kinzie in Florida; nephews, Neil (Elsa) Kinzie in Oregon, Dennis (Janine) Kinzie of Grand Rapids, MI; and her niece, Cheryl Kinzie of Mishawaka. Graveside service 11:00 Thursday, November 14, 2013, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 10776 McKinley Highway. The family's preferred memorial is the Center for Hospice.
