Albert A. Spagnola, 61 of 1402 Lincoln Way West, was dead on arrival at 2:45 a.m. Sunday at Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He was a millwright while living in Chicago. Mr. Spagnolo was born on Dec. 23, 1910 in Chicago and had lived in South Bend 25 years. Surviving are four sons, Albert M., with the Army in Germany, John E. of South Bend, and Alphonso John and Robert John, both of Chicago; five daughters, Miss Linda and Miss Debbie Spagnola, both of South Bend, Miss Frances Margaret, Miss Lucille Margaret, and Miss Helen Carmilla, all of Chicago; two brothers Edward and Nicholis, and three sisters, Mrs. Josephine Pruett, Mrs. Christine Marshman, and Mrs. Rose Richart, all of South Bend. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Hickey Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, Rev. William Neidhart CSC officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.South Bend Tribune 9/5/1972
