Zelma J. Tribbey

MISHAWAKA - Zelma J. Tribbey, 99, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, in Golden Living Center, Mishawaka. Zelma was born on December 7, 1909 in Mishawaka to Adolph and Augusta (Braet) Blondeel. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Flossie Wettergren, Clara Robbins and Margaret Cox and two brothers Arthur and Evo Blondeel and a son Robert Janowiak. On May 28, 1930 she married Harry Janowiak. On May 16, 1958 she married Paul W. Tribbey. Surviving are her husband, Paul; a daughter, Audrey (Larry) Hale of Elkhart; step daughter, Mary Jo (Daniel) Smith of Mishawaka; step son Dennis Paul (Toni) Tribbey of Mishawaka; sister, Alice Lambert of Mishawaka. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Zelma was a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church. She worked at Uniroyal for 38 years before she retired in 1968. Family and friends may visit on Friday August 28 from 3 to 7 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home 505 W. 8th St. Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 29 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Barry England officiating. Entombment will follow in Riverview Cemetery Mausoleum, South Bend. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Services of Northern Indiana, 922 E. Colfax Ave., South Bend, IN 46617.
