SOUTH BEND - Antoinette Micinski, 92, passed away April 15, 2012. Survivors include her son, Russell (Bobbie) Micinski of South Bend; two grandchildren, Casey and Scott Macinski; great-grandson, Aidan Micinski; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2-5 and 6-8 PM, with a Rosary service at 4 PM on Thursday at the McGann Hay, University Chapel. Antoinette Bongiovanni Micinski

SOUTH BEND - Antoinette Micinski, 92, passed away at 6:35 pm Sunday, April 15, 2012, at the Sanctuary of Holy Cross. Antoinette was born in Sicily, Italy, on June 16, 1920, to the late Michael and Corradina (Scala) Bongiovanni. She was a Washington High School graduate. Antoinette worked as a cosmetologist, owning her own salon, Antoinette's Beauty Shop. On July 30, 1955, she married DeVon Micinski, who died on December 8, 2005. She was a member of St. Anthony's Parish and the Battel Center. Survivors include her son, Russell (Bobbie) Micinski of South Bend; a son-in-law, James Fisher of Mishawaka; two grandchildren, Casey Micinski of South Bend and Scott Micinski, a graduate student at Seattle University in the state Washington; a great-grandson, Aidan Micinski of South Bend; a sister-in-law, Ruth Micinski, and a brother-in-law, Tom Weber, both of Mishawaka; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Micinski. Antoinette enjoyed playing euchre at the Battel Center and Howard Park, and playing Yahtzee with her family. Visitation will be from 2-5 and 6-8 pm, with a Rosary service at 4 pm, on Thursday at the McGann Hay Funeral Homes, University Chapel, 2313 E. Edison Road (near Ironwood). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, April 20, 2012, at noon in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, Jefferson & Ironwood, Rev. David Ruppert, pastor, officiating. Entombment will follow at Riverview Mausoleum, South Bend.
