SOUTH BEND - Helen E. Redling, 85, of 3602 S. Ironwood, formerly of 1629 S. Kendall Street, passed away at 3:05 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 25, in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center. Helen was born on Sept. 2, 1913, in South Bend, Ind., to George and Maria Nemes, who both preceded her in death. She was employed by Wilson Brothers. On Sept. 20, 1941, in South Bend, as Helen Nemes, she married Daniel J. Redling, who also preceded her in death on Oct. 14, 1986. She is survived by three brothers, Andrew Nemes and Joseph Nemes, both of South Bend, and Albert (Leona) Nemes of Tucson, Ariz.; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 29, in Immanuel United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or to the charity of donor's choice.
