Steve Porogi, 2621 Fredrickson St., died at 6:40am Saturday in his home after a long illness. He was born in Stouth Bend Oct. 4, 1905, and married Lucy DeVleeshower here in 1929. She survives. He leaves also a daughter, Joyce, at home; his mother Mrs. Katie Porogi, South Bend; two brothers, John and Alex, and three sisters. Mrs. Carl Vince, Mrs. Harry Thau and Mrs. Frank Juhas, all of South Bend. Friends may call in the Nemeth Funeral Home Monday afternoon and until the funeral at 9am Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. The rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 8pm Monday.
