[N10094] Casimir S. Wentland Jr., 59, of Orange Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away in his residence on Thursday, Nov. 19.2004

He was born on Oct. 10, 1945, in South Bend, to Casimir S. and Constance (Gramzay) Wentland Sr., who are both deceased. On June 28, 1972, in South Bend, Casimir married Kathryn Boner-Miller.

Casimir's survivors include his wife, Kathryn; daughter, Mishelle (Rodney) Bergeron of Plymouth, Ind.; two grandchildren, Dalton and Triston; brother, Leonard Wentland of South Bend; nephew, Kyle Wentland of South Bend; niece, Shari Wentland of South Bend; and loved-one, Michael Kobernick of South Bend; along with a huge extended family at Pulaski Post #357.

Casimir worked as a Correctional Officer for the State of Indiana. He was a member of the American Legion Pulaski Post #357 for 37 years, and had been the past Commander. He also was a member of the Marine Corp League of South Bend.

He worked for 28 years at South Bend Lathe before currently working for South Bend Work Release for the past 11 years. Casimir was in the United States Marines during the Vietnam era.

Family and friends may call on Monday, Nov. 22, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Services will take place at St. Joseph Funeral Home on Tuesday, Nov. 23, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
