SOUTH BEND - Paul Dean DeCook passed away in Fort Wayne on Sunday, November 26, 2017.Paul was born November 15, 1956 in South Bend to the late Elaine and Robert DeCook. He was also preceded by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Clem Slisz and Mr. Valaire DeCook. Paul is survived by his sisters, June (Gary) Dashner and Bonnie (Mark) Elledge; a brother, Robert (DeeAnna) DeCook; nieces and nephews, David & Shawn Dashner, Travis Elledge, Brittany, Lily & Kevin DeCook; grandma, Mrs. Valaire DeCook, 4 stepsisters, 2 aunts, and many cousins. Paul enjoyed sports in his younger years; he even broke school track records. He loved being outdoors, gardening, fishing or spending time with family and friends. Paul also loved all animals, especially his kitten, Mittens, dog, Koi, and his fish tanks & pond. He always enjoyed time spent with his Uncle, Valaire DeCook. Paul was a very caring, loving person and an amazing brother who always wanted to help others. The family would like to thank everyone who helped Paul. A Mass will be held at a later date.
