SOUTH BEND - Dolores T. Pinkowski, 86, of South Bend, passed away on Sunday April 5, 2015, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. She was born December 22, 1929, in South Bend, to the late Vince and Irene (Stanger) Ciesielski and was a lifelong area resident. On May 19, 1951, she married Edward R. Pinkowski, who preceded her in death on November 26, 2002. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Lesczynski. Dolores is survived by her daughters, Diane (Alan) Foresman and Kathy (Greg) Gensinger, both of North Liberty, IN; two grandchildren, Julie (Rusty) Slater of Noblesville, IN and Bryan (Brenna) Gensinger of Elkhart, IN; two great-grandchildren, Tucker Slater and Mason Gensinger; and by two sisters, Dorothy (Roger) Mathia of South Bend and Adeline (Bob) DeShepper of Edwardsburg, MI. Mrs. Pinkowski worked for the University of Notre Dame in Housekeeping for 11 years, before retiring in 1992. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 am Saturday April 11, 2015, at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend.
