Elsie L. Pinckert
March 30, 1942 - September 9, 2011

Elsie Leora Pinckert, 69, of South Bend died Friday, September 9, 2011 in her residence. Elsie was born March 30, 1942 in New Carlisle, IN to the late Iola (Adnson) and Charles Bennitt and had lived in the area all her life. On October 28, 1961 in New Carlisle as Elsie L. Bennitt she married James H. Pinckert who preceded her in death March 7, 2011. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and James Bennitt. She is survived by two daughters, Rhonda L. Pinckert of South Bend and Lori L. Pinckert (Paul Bernas) of Granger, IN; a grandson, Bryan P. Bernas; and a sister-in-law, Patsy Bennitt of Niles, MI. In loving memory of a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Our mother was a kind, gentle and giving person. She truly loved her husband, daughters, and most of all her only grandson. She enjoyed being outdoors with her family camping, fishing, and playing Club Pogo games on her computer. She retired from GL Perry after several years of faithful service. Our parents have been reunited and will be celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary together on October 28, 2011 in heaven. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Our Mom, Our Hero. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 13th in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. with Pastor Nathan Prong of West Side Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Chapel Cemetery, New Carlisle. Friends may call on Tuesday in the funeral home from noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
