WINAMAC - Joseph P. “Joe” Pesaresi, 71, of Winamac, IN passed away surrounded by his family at 12 noon on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at home. Joe was born on February 13, 1947 in Logansport, IN to the late Walter and Theresa Digilio Pesaresi. He was a 1966 graduate of Winamac High School. On December 31, 1976, he married Terry Weaver in Ft. Wayne, IN. Joe was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Winamac. As one of the family owners of Winamac Coil Spring in Kewanna, IN, Joe was currently serving as CEO. His career there spanned nearly 50 years. Joe was active in national and regional spring industry associations. Joe was an avid golfer and was a member of several golf clubs, where he enjoyed the time spent with friends and family. He was a big sports fan, especially of golf and racing. Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be greatly missed by those whose lives he touched. He is survived by his wife, Terry Weaver Pesaresi of Winamac; his sons, Anthony (Tina) Pesaresi of Kewanna and Andrew Pesaresi of Rochester; his grandchildren, Garrett Pesaresi, Cale Pesaresi, and Curtis Pesaresi all of Kewanna; his siblings, Daniel (Vivian) Pesaresi of Mishawaka and Barbara (Gene) Huber of Winamac; sisters-in-law, Brenda Venderley and Sherry (Tom) Watt both of Ft. Wayne; brother-in-law, Larry (Sharon) Weaver of Ft. Wayne; uncles, Ova Huff and Carl Pesaresi both of Logansport, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Theresa Digilio Pesaresi. A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 1:30 PM EDT Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Visitation will be from 2-9 PM EDT Sunday, May 20, 2018 and 9-10 AM EDT Monday, May 21, 2018 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM EDT Monday, May 21, 2018 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Winamac with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman officiating. Burial will take place at St. Peter's Cemetery in Winamac. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (to support further advancements in neuroendocrine cancer research).
