Millicent L. Lindborg, 102, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 5:55 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2022 in her home. She was born on September 10, 1920 to the late Frederick and Dessie Mae (Young) Plantz in Fulton County, IN, and has lived in South Bend since 1938. Along with her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel R. Lindborg; a son, David Lindborg; and siblings, Eldonna Inks; Robert Plantz; Janice Carter; and Patricia Entzian. Millicent graduated in 1938 from Aubbeenaubee Township High School in Leiter’s Ford, IN. She worked for many years at Singer Sewing Machine Company in South Bend. On March 6, 1948, as Millicent L. Plantz, she married Daniel R. Lindborg at the First Methodist Church in South Bend, IN. Daniel passed away on December 2, 2005. Millicent is survived by three sons, Daniel (Nancy) Lindborg of South Bend, IN; Richard (Sally) Lindborg of Francesville, IN; Douglas (Nancy) Lindborg of Chicago, IL; eight grandchildren, Scott (Amy) Lindborg of Fishers, IN; Ryan (Sarah) Lindborg of Abu Dhabi, UAE; Matt (Kelli) Lindborg of South Bend, IN; Allison (Robert) Willmot of Stacy, MN; Emily (Kurt) Yost of South Bend, IN; Benjamin (Brooke) Lindborg of Norfolk, VA; Thomas (Kate) Lindborg of Steamboat Springs, CO; Marcus Williams of Chicago, IL; 15 great grandchildren, Anja, Mia, Chris, Brady, Henry, Noah, William, Oscar, Victor, Lillie, James, Amelia, Rebecca, Lydia, and Lucy; one brother, Kenneth (Betty) Plantz of LaPorte, IN; and one daughter-in-law, Cynthia Lindborg of Niles, MI. Millicent was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church; Morris Park Country Club; South Bend Symphony Board; St. Joseph County Dental Auxiliary; and PEO. A Memorial Service and burial at Highland Cemetery will be held at a later date. The family would like to express our appreciation to Linda and the caregivers of Caring Cove Hospice.
