NORTH LIBERTY - Ralph H. Kurzhal, 91, of North Liberty, passed away in his home,, unexpectedly after a sudden illness on Tuesday, June 7th. Ralph was born to the late Herbert and Alma (Tetzlaff) Kurzhal on March 9, 1925, in North Liberty, IN. On March 14, 1953, in North Liberty, he married Roberta L. (Bentley) Kurzhal. She preceded him in death on November 26, 2010. Ralph is survived by his daughter, Debbie A. (Jerry) Robertson of Rock Springs, WY; three sons, Randy L. of North Liberty, Rodney L. of North Liberty and David A. (Lee) Kurzhal of MI; six grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, whom he loved and cherished. He is also survived by two sisters, Ilene Haskins of North Liberty and Jean Morehouse of Iowa. He was preceded in death by a sister, Gerri Pellow. Ralph retired from U.S. Steel after thirty (30) years as a crane operator. He had previously worked at the Studebaker Corporation for twenty (20) years. Ralph proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had many hobbies: bowling, working on cars, reading, electronic games, being outside, and loved to be busy. There will no visitation or services at this time; cremation has taken place.
