Matthew Lee Delchambre, 42 years old, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday morning, January 10, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Matt was born on July 8, 1980, in Dowagiac, MI and has lived in South Bend most of his life. He graduated from Northwestern College in 2000. He had a successful career as an accomplished HVAC technician. On November 15, 2021, in South Bend, Matt and Nicole M. Robinson were united in marriage. Matthew enjoyed being in the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, utv rock climbing in the mountains with friends, building epic yard karts, modifying his 1976 Ford truck and mudbogging, and spending time with his wife and children while living a life in Christ. Matt is survived by his loving wife, Nicole M. “Nici” Delchambre of South Bend; two children, Garett Delchambre and Grace Delchambre of New Carlisle; two bonus children; Makayla Robinson and Cole Robinson, both of South Bend; parents, Peter and Christine Delchambre of South Bend; and his siblings, Nicole (fiancé, Jared Mahler) Delchambre of Mishawaka and Andrew (Ann) Delchambre of Lafayette, IN. A service celebrating the life of Matt will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14th, 2023, at North Liberty Church of Christ, 65225 State Road 23, North Liberty. Pastor Tim Stewart will officiate. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Palmer Funeral Home is assisting the family. A luncheon will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Matthew Lee Delchambre may be donated to River Bend Cancer Services, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, IN 46615.
