Marjorie Martin nee Rogers
May 30, 1932 - June 29, 2014
NORTH LIBERTY - Marjorie Adeline Martin, 82, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 in her residence. Marjorie was born May 30, 1932 in South Bend to the late Felix and Bernice (Jasinski) Rogers. Marjorie is also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda McCullough in March of 2004 and her brother, Arthur and sisters, Delores and Gloria. On October 30, 1954 in St. Casimir Catholic Church, Marjorie married her loving husband of 59 years, Henry Martin; he survives along with their children, Hank A. (Susan) Martin of Greensburg, IN, and Joseph M. (Diane) Martin of Lafayette, IN; grandchildren, Kimberly, Joe, David, Barbara, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Michael, Craig, Justin, & Ryan; great-grandchildren, Blake, Conner, Haley, Brice, Trent, Grace, Andrew, Rebecca, Mason, and Kinsley; her sister-in-law, Jean Rogers and her beloved dogs, Foo Foo and Mickey. Marjorie retired in 1994 from Claey's Candy Factory as a candy maker. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Church. Marjorie enjoyed going to the casinos, crocheting, shopping at the flea market, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation for Marjorie will be 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, July 1, 2014 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 2 in Holy Family Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, 333 N. Summit St., Toledo, OH 43699, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or Holy Family Catholic Church, 56405 Mayflower Rd., South Bend, IN 46619.
