MILWAUKEE, WI
Jacqueline, 70, passed away after a brief illness in Milwaukee, where she had moved recently. Formerly she resided in Tucson, Arizona for many years. She was born in South Bend to Bert and Genevieve (Kaczmarek) Nowak, who preceded her in death along with a sister, Mary Catherine. She graduated from Central High School in 1962. She was married to Jay Fleishman in 1968. He also preceded her in death in 2010. She is survived by her brothers, Dave Nowak of Milwaukee and Greg (Bambi) Nowak of Mishawaka, and a sister, Kathy (Don) Stachowiak of South Bend. Also she leaves behind her aunt, Rosalie (Kaczmarek) Stefaniak of South Bend, 6 nieces, 2 nephews, 3 greatnieces and 3 greatnephews. Jackie loved being with her cats as she pursued her interests in music, art and literature. She taught Art History at the University of Arizona and writing classes while she wrote numerous poems, plays and had her mystery novel published. There are no services scheduled at this time. Cremation took place at the Peace of Mind Funeral Home in West Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She will be greatly missed by her family. Donations may be made to your favorite cancer charity.
