Armand Paluzzi
Dec. 22, 1935 - Jan. 07, 2018
SOUTH BEND - Armand Paluzzi was born December 22, 1935, to Joseph and Josephine Paluzzi in Mishawaka, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Clifford and Raymond, and Sisters Lorraine, Yolanda and Olga. He has one remaining sister, Kathleen Dewald and many, many nieces and nephews. He graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1954 and immediately went into retail sales. He married his best friend and soul mate, Janis Dannerberger in 1958 and had three children, Karen Paluzzi (Annette) of Mishawaka, IN, Bruce (Melissa) Paluzzi of Granger and Kristine (Rich) Holland of South Bend. He was the proud grandfather of Jessica (Adam) Morris and Chelsea (Andy Klimek) Holland, Addison and Bella Paluzzi and Joshua (Stephanie) Morris of Illinois, and three great-grandchild Carter & Cora Klimek and Jayde Morris. Armand was employed by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 20 years and owned Superior Brake and Alignment until his retirement in 2005. He was involved in youth retreats through his church, a Eucharistic Minister, always willing to do whatever his church asked of him. His family was his greatest joy and his love for them was returned to him sevenfold. One of his joys was belonging to the international Student Organization of Notre Dame where he hosted several students, some of whom became his second family, - the Siqueiras, and grew to include dozens more nieces and nephews and even involved a trip to India with his entire family. One of his greatest delights was traveling and he and Jan made trips overseas as well as golf courses all over the states. They delighted in visiting new places until the dreadful Alzheimer disease made traveling impossible. Armand was deeply loved by all who knew him and suffered along with him as the disease progressed and slowly destroyed the man we all remembered so well. Goodbye my love - I know I'll join you someday and you'll once again be the man we all laughed with, sang with, and loved deeply. We know you're safe now and our tears are of joy rather than pain. A memorial visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday January 11, 2018 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday January 12, 2018 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, South Bend. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Dementia Services, 922 E. Colfax Ave., South Bend, IN 46617 or prayers for all the families affected by this horrific disease.
