NEW CARLISLE - Steven S. “Jake” Dopieralski, 79, of New Carlisle, IN, passed away at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Miller's Merry Manor in New Carlisle. Steven was born on July 18, 1937 to the late Stanley, Sr. and Marian (Clem) Dopieralski in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong area resident. Along with his parents; he was preceded in death by a son, Scott; two sisters, Beverly DeGraf and Karen Lowery; a brother, Donald Dopieralski; and a brother-in-law, Tom DeGraf. He worked as a truck driver for Animal By-Products in New Carlisle, IN for 40 years. Jake is survived by his children, Lisa, Leon, and David; his grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; one sister, Sandra (David) Surma of Rolling Prairie, IN; his twin brother, Stanley, Jr. (Yvonne) Dopieralski of New Carlisle, IN; and a brother-in-law, Duane Lowery of New Carlisle, IN. Jake was a hard working man who also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his twin brother. There will be no services. A private burial will take place in New Carlisle Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to: Miller's Merry Manor Activity Fund, 220 E. Dunn Road, New Carlisle, IN 46552.
