Mrs. Catherine Dembinski, aged 66, of 829 South Meade street, was found dead in bed in her home at 11:50 a.m. Friday (25 April 1947). Death was due to a stroke of apoplexy after a day's illness. Born in Poland Oct. 2, 1880, she came to South Bend from that country 20 years ago. Surviving are three sons, Edward, John and Frank Dembinski, three daughters, Mrs. Helen Cegielski, Mrs. Clara Borowski and Mrs. Rose Plencner, all of South Bend; three brothers, Ignacy Janowiak, of Manistee, Mich.; George Janowiak, of Flint, Mich.; and Joseph Janowiak, of Detroit, Mich.; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Rozga, of Manistee. Friends may call at the residence after 6 p.m. The funeral will take place at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Adalbert's Catholic church. Rev. Ignatius J. Gapczynski, pastor, will chant the requiem high mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Polish cemetery.
