SOUTH BEND - Daniel Cerlesi, 97, formerly of Mishawaka, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Daniel was born on September 30, 1917 in Universal, IN to Silvio and Linda (Subacchi) Cerlesi. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Josephine Hargraves and Virginia Eastabrook and brothers, Leo and Delmo Cerlesi. On December 24, 1940 in South Bend, he married the former Ruth Wolverton. She preceded him in death on January 10, 1984; his son Terry Cerlesi preceded him in death on May 17, 1994. Surviving are his daughter, Sherry Cerlesi-Sabinas of Mishawaka; five grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Daniel was a Machine Operator at Uniroyal for 43 years, retiring in 1982. He was a lifetime area resident and a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of VFW Post 360. Private graveside service in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
