Leo J. Foltz Jr., 90, passed away Monday, October 12, 2020 at Sprenger Health Care of Mishawaka. Leo was born March 6, 1930 in Mishawaka, to the late Leo J. Sr. and Catherine (Gerard) Foltz. After graduating from high school, Leo would be drafted into the United States Army in 1951; he would be honorably discharged in 1953 as a corporal. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Leo would marry Olga C. (Paluzzi); she preceded him in death August 2, 2014,after sixty years of marriage. He retired in 1989 after forty-two years of service from Uniroyal where he was a fire inspector. He was a life member of the VFW #360. Surviving are his three daughters, Briana (Jeff) Foltz-Hathaway of Mishawaka, Cynthia Foltz of Mishawaka, Denise (David) Courtney of Granger. Also surviving are his four grandchildren, Joshua Miller, Danita Creech, Amanda (Gary) Fall, and Dustin (Christa) Woody, Aaron Courtney and several great-grandchildren. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at Palmer Funeral Home - Bubb Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka. A service celebrating Leo’s life will be held at 1:00PM with Pastor Ben Webb officiating. Inurnment will take place at Fairview Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Humane Society of St. Joseph County, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, Indiana 46545.
