SOUTH BEND - June M. Molenda, 98, passed away at 2:40 am Sunday, August 19, 2012, in Hospice House. June was born on June 18, 1914, in Chicago, Illinois, to Otto and Marie (Martin) Graff. She retired in 1988 from PDH Office Equipment and was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Church. On September 19, 1935, in Chicago, she married Stephen A. Molenda, who died on June 25, 1995. June was also preceded in death by a son, David Molenda; a sister, Violet Humbracht; and a brother, Irvin Graff. Surviving are a son, Steven (Marianne Ciesielski) Molenda of South Bend; 3 grandchildren, David Molenda of Tacoma, WA, Marina (Brent) Swan-Molenda of Chicago, IL, and Chad Molenda of Carmel, IN; 2 great-grandchildren, David A. Molenda and Erica Molenda, both of Tacoma, WA; 2 daughters-in-law, Shirley Molenda of Tacoma, WA, and Lenore Gentner of Granger; and numerous nieces and nephews. The Molenda family would like to thank Amelia for all her care and companionship. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am Thursday, August 23, 2012, in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may call from 4-8 Wednesday in the funeral home where a Rosary will be recited at 4:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Hungary Church or to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care.
