John B. Sadowitz, 79, of Dowagiac, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023, at 12:00PM, at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St. Dowagiac, with Pastor Stacey Wilder officiating. Friends may visit with the family Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in John's name may be made to Calvary Bible Church or Samaritan's Purse. Those wishing to leave the family a message of condolence may do so at www.clarkch.com. John was born April 17, 1943, in Niles, MI, to Blanchard and Dorothy (Mallow) Sadowitz. He graduated from Dowagiac High School in 1961 and then went on to attend Kalamazoo Valley Community College. John was hard working and worked many jobs over the years, from working sales to working at Chrysler motors. However, the job he loved the most was being a dad being able to stay home and raise his daughter, Kimmie. He had a love and appreciation for cars and was a collector of all automobiles. John was known for his outgoing personality and always socializing. He loved his friends, classmates, and most of all his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. John is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Jon) Schultz; grandchildren, Louis Schultz, Cooper Schultz, Autumn Schultz and Brookelynn Schultz; brother, Michael (Louise) Sadowitz; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Blanchard and Dorothy Sadowitz.
