NEW CARLISLE - Lorraine Winnicki, 88, passed away at 12:55 pm, Saturday, September 27, 2014 with her family present. Lorraine was born October 9, 1926 in Ladysmith, WI to the late Earl and Ebba (Forslund) Bowlby. Lorraine married Ernest Winnicki on October 29, 1949. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1993. She is also preceded in death by a brother, William Bowlby. Survivors include daughters, Kathleen (William) Konieczny and Karole (Kevin) Campbell; son, William (Debra) Winnicki; brother, John Bowlby; grandchildren, Eric, Frank, Jessica and Billy; and great-grandchildren, Trevor, Mollie, Alyssa, Sophie and Alexia. Lorraine was a graduate of St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing during World War II, then employed at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center up until retirement. She, along with her family enjoyed pigeon racing, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation is 10 am to 1 pm, Tuesday, September 30, 2014 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Funeral Liturgy will begin at 1 pm in the funeral home.
