Born 12 Mar 1910 Mishawaka to Theodore & Katherine [Beuche] Hornung; d] 28 Oct 1997 age 87 of Lake Shore Dr, Akron, IN. at 8:30 a.m. in his daughters home in Dowagiac MI after an illness. He retired in 1973 after 27 1/2 yrs as Plant manager for Essex Wire Do [now United Technologies Co. In 1926 to 1946 worked at US Rubber in Mishawaka. Services at St Joseph Catholic Church, burial at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka.
On 26 Nov 1930 he wed Martha M. Poure who died 1 Apr 1996 shortly after celebrating their 65th wedding anniversay. Surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs Dolores [Donal] Gartee of Dowwagiac, Mrs Sharon [Richard] Majewski of Cassopolis MI; a son, Edward L [Gerri] Horning of Akron; 8 grandchildren , 10 great grand-children; 2 sisters, Mrs Isabella Seymour and Mrs Bertilla Andrews, both of South Bend; a brother Frank of Royal Oak MI. A sister Clara & a brother William also preceded him in death.
