Karl F. Gocza

Karl F. Gocza, 61, of 1201 Van Buren St., died at 6:57 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital. He was a self-employed painter. Born on May 5, 1923 in Zekany, Hungary, he lived here for 24 years, coming from Hungary. On May 14, 1956, in Hungary, he married Ilona Zempleni, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Melinda Stopczynski, Helen Gocza and Michelle Gocza, all of South Bend; two sons, Karl Jr. of South Bend and Joseph of Denver; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Friday at Our-Lady of Hungary Catholic Church and burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Zahoran Funeral Home where the Legion of Mary will lead a rosary at 7:15 Thursday.
