South Bend - Barbara Jean Czarnecki, 83, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018 in Healthwin Nursing Facility. Barbara was born September 13, 1934 in South Bend to the late Anthony & Verel (Zmudzinski) Czarnecki. Survivors of Barbara include her brother, Raymond (Patricia) Czarnecki, and sister, Frances Czarnecki both of South Bend. Barbara was a proud graduate of Washington High School, Class of 1951. She was a secretary at Bendix Corporation in South Bend and also an executive assistant at the 20th Century Studios in California for 16 years before returning home to South Bend to take care of her family. Barbara was involved in the Arbor Day Foundation and Special Olympics for the disabled. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 5, 2018 at St. Joseph Cemetery, Grant and Pine Roads, South Bend with Rev. Charles Zawistowski officiating. ST.
