Dorothy was born January 30, 1925, in South Bend, IN, to Stanley and Antoinette (Wasikowski) Jozwiak Sr., and was a lifelong area resident. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. On May 17, 1947, as Dorothy A. Jozwiak, she married Richard V. Nemeth, who preceded her in death on February 22, 2007. Also preceding her in death were three sisters, Adeline Reiter, Wanda Kaplachinski and Esther Cooreman; and one brother, Stanley Jozwiak Jr. Survivors include three sons, Richard (Debra) Nemeth of South Bend, IN, Timothy (Lynn) Nemeth of Granger, IN, and Phillip (Sue) Nemeth of South Bend, IN; six grandchildren, Kim (Sean) Klimczak, Kelly (Martin) Wright, Tanya Nemeth, Tony Nemeth, Mandi (Cole) Landuyt and Amy (Matt) McGlothlen; six great-grandchildren, Bobby Nemeth, Jenna McGlothlen, Cadence McGlothlen, Ethan Klimczak, Andrew Klimczak and Noah Wright; and a brother-in-law, August Cooreman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 2, 2008, in Corpus Christi Church. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 until 8 p.m. Thursday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 p.m. Dorothy was a member of Corpus Christi parish where, for many years, she volunteered her time. She also spent time knitting and giving away many slippers to family and charities. Her love for her family was always present whether through preparing large holiday feasts, cheering at sporting events, making kiffles and kolach with all of her grandchildren gathered around, or sharing her pride and joy in all of her family's accomplishments. She and Dad loved to travel and made lifelong friends everywhere they went. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc.
